Overview Online Notepad is a free, browser-based text editor designed for creating and editing multiple plain-text files effortlessly. No registration or login is required, making it perfect for jotting down quick notes or printing simple pages. What sets Quickynotes apart is its innovative autosave functionality, which saves your work every second. This ensures that you won't lose any data if you accidentally close the tab or if your browser crashes. Your document will automatically restore the next time you visit, even after closing and reopening your browser. Additionally, you can save documents directly to your computer for added convenience. Quickynotes includes essential features typical of any text editor, such as undo, redo, copy, cut, paste, find and replace, font formatting, character map, inserting date and time, emoji support, spell checker, word counter, and options to open, save, and print files.
How It Works Thanks to the HTML5 localStorage API, Online Notepad automatically saves your changes as you work. It captures the content from the text editor and stores it locally on your device, ensuring your data remains private. By default, drafts are saved every 1000 milliseconds (1 second), and your notes will remain accessible in your browser until you clear cookies and site data. Feel free to test it out by typing in the editor and refreshing the page.
Browser Compatibility Online Notepad is compatible with modern web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, Edge, Internet Explorer, and the Steam browser. Please ensure JavaScript is enabled to use the app effectively.
