Chronoid combines automatic macOS activity tracking with local-first privacy, project and billing workflows, focus tools, and a built-in MCP server for AI assistants. It records useful work context across apps, websites, documents, and supported resource paths without manual timers. The activity database stays on your Mac by default, and Chronoid does not record keystrokes or screenshots.

Chronoid was built by Vu Nguyen, a Mac developer and freelancer who spent years forgetting timers, guessing invoice hours, and under-billing. The product began as a way to capture work automatically, keep the data local, and offer an alternative to another subscription
