GetA2PApproved 5 features
  • User-Friendly Interface
Cert Decoder is designed with a simple and intuitive interface that makes it easy for users to navigate and use the tool without requiring extensive technical knowledge.
  • Comprehensive Analysis
The tool provides detailed analyses of certificates, including information about validity, issuer, encryption algorithms, and more, helping users understand their security certificates thoroughly.
  • Free to Use
Cert Decoder offers its services free of charge, making it accessible for individuals and organizations without budget constraints.
  • Quick Processing
The tool processes certificate information rapidly, providing almost instant results for users, which is crucial for time-sensitive tasks.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Advanced Features
Compared to some paid alternatives, Cert Decoder might lack advanced features that are necessary for more complex certificate management and diagnostics.
  • Reliance on Internet Access
Users need an active internet connection to utilize the tool, which can be a limitation in areas with unreliable internet service.
  • Privacy Concerns
While using an online service to decode certificates, there can always be privacy concerns regarding sensitive data being uploaded to a third-party server.
  • No Offline Mode
Cert Decoder does not offer an offline mode, which could be a drawback for users who require functionality without constant internet availability.
  • Specialized A2P Focus
The service is specifically designed to help businesses navigate the complex A2P (Application-to-Person) 10DLC registration and approval process, offering focused expertise rather than generic telecom consulting.
  • Streamlined Approval Process
Aims to simplify and expedite the often confusing and time-consuming carrier approval process for SMS messaging campaigns, potentially saving businesses significant time.
  • Reduces Compliance Risk
Helps businesses properly register their messaging use cases and brand information, reducing the risk of message filtering, throughput limits, or account suspension due to non-compliance with carrier requirements.
  • Time Savings for Businesses
By handling the technical and administrative aspects of A2P registration, businesses can focus on their core operations instead of navigating carrier-specific requirements and paperwork.
  • Improved Message Deliverability
Proper A2P registration facilitated by the service can lead to better message deliverability rates and fewer messages being flagged as spam by carriers.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Public Information
There is relatively little publicly available information, reviews, or case studies about this specific service, making it difficult to verify claims of effectiveness or compare with competitors.
  • Additional Cost Layer
Using a third-party service adds an extra cost on top of existing carrier and platform fees, which may not be necessary for businesses that can navigate the registration process themselves.
  • Dependency on Third Party
Relying on an external service for a critical compliance function creates dependency risk; if the service experiences issues or shuts down, businesses may face registration or renewal complications.
  • Uncertain Long-term Reliability
As a smaller, specialized service, there may be concerns about the company's longevity, customer support responsiveness, and ability to keep pace with frequently changing carrier requirements.
  • Possible Redundancy with Existing Platforms
Many SMS platforms and providers (like Twilio) already offer built-in tools and guidance for A2P registration, potentially making a separate specialized service redundant for some users.

  • GetA2PApproved appears to be a specialized consulting service focused on helping businesses navigate the complex A2P 10DLC registration and approval process for SMS messaging campaigns, which can be valuable for companies struggling with carrier compliance requirements, though as with any specialized compliance service, you should verify current reviews, pricing transparency, and track record before committing.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Cert Decoder and GetA2PApproved.

What's the story behind your product?

Cert Decoder's answer

I built certdecoder.com over the weekend for my own needs. Sometimes in my work, I need to verify and check certificate details.

GetA2PApproved's answer:

It started from seeing businesses repeatedly get their SMS campaigns rejected over compliance paperwork. The documents required for A2P 10DLC registration are highly specific and must be perfectly consistent with each other. Businesses were paying lawyers, copying templates, or guessing — and still getting rejected. The idea was to build an AI tool that knows exactly what carriers want and generates it right the first time.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Cert Decoder's answer

certdecoder.com was built using just JavaScript and HTML—simple, fast, and with all processing happening locally in your browser, so no certificate data is sent to any server

GetA2PApproved's answer:

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase for the database and authentication, Claude AI for document generation and compliance analysis, Stripe for payments, and Vercel for hosting and deployment.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Cert Decoder's answer

certdecoder.com is primarily built for developers, sysadmins, cybersecurity enthusiasts, and DevOps engineers.

GetA2PApproved's answer:

Small to mid-size businesses that send SMS messages to customers and need to register their campaigns through The Campaign Registry. Marketing agencies managing A2P 10DLC registrations for multiple clients. GoHighLevel and CRM users setting up SMS campaigns. Anyone who has been rejected or is trying to avoid rejection during 10DLC registration.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Cert Decoder's answer

Simple, fast, and reliable. Some similar tools can’t even decode basic certificates. I rigorously tested my tool with many real-world certificates and covered several edge cases where competitors fall short.

GetA2PApproved's answer:

There is no direct competitor that generates all three A2P 10DLC documents together with cross-document consistency enforcement. Alternatives are either lawyers charging hundreds of dollars with no guarantee of approval, generic templates that don't match each other, or DIY approaches that miss carrier-specific requirements. GetA2PApproved also includes a compliance feedback loop — the AI learns from its own analysis results so documents improve with every regeneration cycle.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Cert Decoder's answer

certdecoder.com is primarily built for developers, sysadmins, cybersecurity enthusiasts, and DevOps engineers.

What makes your product unique?

GetA2PApproved's answer:

It generates all three required A2P 10DLC compliance documents from a single questionnaire and mechanically cross-references them for consistency. Most solutions offer templates or single documents — GetA2PApproved ensures consent language, opt-out disclosures, and message frequencies match perfectly across your Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Submission Language. It also includes AI compliance analysis that catches issues before carriers do.

Why? Because I built certdecoder.com and couldn’t find a decent place to submit it. So I said screw it — I’ll build my own. With blackjack and hookers. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
