Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Carosello.app and Codegres.org.

What makes your product unique?

Carosello.app's answer

Carosello is the only LinkedIn carousel creator that combines AI content generation, AI image generation, and precision editing in a single workflow — no design skills required.

What sets it apart:

  • Dual-Reference Image System — Upload a content reference (what to show) and a style reference (how it should look). The AI merges both into consistent, branded visuals across every slide.
  • Image to Prompt — Reverse-engineer any image into a detailed text prompt, then recreate that style in your brand colors.
  • Retouch Mode — Click on any area of a generated image and describe what to fix. The AI edits just that region without regenerating the whole image.
  • Narrative Analysis — After generating content, Carosello provides a strategy breakdown explaining hook effectiveness, structure type, and content flow — so you learn while you create.
  • 5-Minute Workflow — From idea to export-ready carousel in 5 minutes: prompt → AI content → slide editing with version diff → image generation → caption → download.
  • BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) — Use your own Gemini API key for unlimited generations at Google's rates, with full feature access and no subscription.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Carosello.app's answer

Most carousel tools make you do the hard parts yourself. Canva gives you templates — you still write the copy, pick images, and spend 30+ minutes per post. Taplio writes text but sticks it on plain backgrounds. aiCarousels generates content but can't create real images.

Carosello does all three in one place: writes the post, generates a unique image for every slide, and lets you edit both — in about 5 minutes.

Here's what that means in practice:

  • vs. Canva — No templates to customize. The AI writes original content and creates images from scratch. 5 min vs 30 min.
  • vs. Taplio — Full AI image generation per slide, not text-on-background overlays. Plus a BYOK option that costs nothing.
  • vs. aiCarousels — 16-color brand system, word-level version diffs, and face-safe portrait mode for consistent personal branding.

And pricing is different too. No subscription — you buy credits when you need them (starting at €4), and they never expire. Or bring your own Gemini API key and the tool is completely free.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Carosello.app's answer

Carosello is built for professionals who post on LinkedIn but don't have time (or desire) to learn design tools.

Primary audience:

  • Founders and solopreneurs who use LinkedIn for thought leadership and lead generation but can't justify 30-60 minutes per carousel in Canva
  • Marketing managers and content leads at startups and scale-ups who need consistent, branded LinkedIn content at volume
  • Consultants, coaches, and freelancers building a personal brand on LinkedIn — they have expertise to share but no design background
  • Social media managers handling multiple LinkedIn accounts who need to produce professional carousels fast

What they have in common: They know carousels get 3-5x more engagement than text posts, but the time investment has kept them from posting regularly. They want professional results in minutes, not hours — and they'd rather spend their budget on content volume than monthly subscriptions.

What's the story behind your product?

Carosello.app's answer

I was spending 1-2 hours per LinkedIn carousel in Canva. Writing the copy, searching for images, aligning text boxes, exporting slides one by one. I knew carousels drove better engagement, but the production cost kept me from posting consistently.

I'm an AI engineer, so the question became: what if AI could handle the entire workflow — writing, image generation, and assembly — in a single tool?

The first prototype took a prompt and generated a structured LinkedIn post. Then I added AI image generation per slide using Google Gemini. Then a retouch mode for quick fixes, a version diff system to track edits, and a brand color engine that injects your palette into every image prompt automatically.

I built Carosello as a solo founder, bootstrapped from day one. The BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) pricing model came from a personal conviction: I didn't want to charge a monthly subscription for a tool people might use 4 times a month. With your own Gemini API key, Carosello is completely free — you pay Google directly, roughly €0.10 per carousel. For everyone else, one-time credit packs start at €4 with no expiration.

The name "Carosello" is the Italian word for carousel — a nod to my roots and to the product's purpose.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Carosello.app's answer

Carosello is a full-stack web application built with modern, production-grade technologies:

  • Next.js (App Router with React Server Components) — the application framework, handling routing, server-side rendering, and API layer via server actions
  • Google Gemini — powers both AI content generation (text models like Gemini 2.5 Flash and Gemini 3 Deep Think) and AI image generation (Gemini 3 Pro)
  • Vercel — hosting and edge network for zero-config deployments and global CDN delivery
  • Neon — serverless Postgres database with connection pooling and database branching for dev/staging environments
  • Cloudinary — media CDN for serving, transforming, and optimizing all generated carousel images
  • Stripe — payment processing for credit pack purchases
  • Better Auth — authentication framework for user management
  • Upstash Redis — caching layer for API response caching and rate limiting
  • TypeScript — end-to-end type safety across the entire codebase

Security: AES-256-GCM encryption for API keys, GDPR compliant.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Carosello.app's answer

Carosello launched in February 2026 and is in its early-adopter phase. We don't have enterprise customers to name-drop yet — and we won't fabricate any.

What we can share: the product is built and used daily by our founding team for real LinkedIn content creation. Every feature was designed, tested, and iterated on with real carousels before launch.

We're actively onboarding early users and would love to update this answer as our community grows. If you're reading this and want to be among the first — we'd genuinely appreciate the feedback.
