I just looked it up and for my area I am making what it suggests...for twins. I have the highest rate I know of (mind you, only after generous raises).     Absolutely don't go into any home that's not government funded. If you have extra cash, pay it to hire someone through, e.g., care.com to visit your Dad in the home and provide extra assistance.
