  • BuzzFeed News Is Shutting Down
I can only imagine their disappointment when buzzfeed.com still pops up with their quizzes and "news" about the Kardashians. Source: over 3 years ago

From what buzzfeed.com? Is that what the quiz told you? Source: over 3 years ago
  • BuzzFeed, after gutting its newsroom, asks reporters to produce even more โ€” Meanwhile, the company's stock is struggling, revenue is in free fall, and editorial ambitions remain hazy
The terrible part is they completely poisoned the name "buzzfeed" because buzzfeednews.com (not buzzfeed.com) does some amazing journalism. Among other stories they are the ones who received the leaked "FinCen Files" which showed that FinCen (the US govt agency in charge of monitoring suspicious financial transactions) was basically not doing anything and money laundering was freely happening under their watch and... • Algeria, and the relationship between lead and iq
You're focusing on the wrong side effect of lead, studies have shown that exposure to lead in the air increases violence and crimes, and the effect can last up to 20 years. I'm more concerned about that than some arbitrary whimsical IQ test on buzzfeed.com. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Buzzfeed shouldnโ€™t be suggested as a news site
If I type in "nytimes.com" right now, I get news stories and midterm analysis first. If I type in "buzzfeed.com" the main story is "I Apologize In Advance, But Non-Americans Think These 18 American Foods Are Absolutely 'Disgustingโ€. You have to click on the logo and find your way over to Buzzfeed news, which to me at least, would suggest their news section is of secondary importance and isn't the main component of... • export a booklet pdf with flippable pages
Https://flowpaper.com/ will do this. I saw your comment about not wanting to use 3rd party, but you just cannot do this with InDesign alone. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Dealing with large PDFโ€™s
Have a look at using FlowPaper for this (https://flowpaper.com). Flowpaper splits the publication in chunks and compresses the output. A 1000- page publication will load just as fast as a 10 page publication after it's been processed. Source: over 4 years ago

I would recommend using something like FlowPaper instead of supplying the PDF https://flowpaper.com/. Source: almost 5 years ago
  • What's the best way you've seen a booklet presented on a portfolio website?
We make a lot of booklets for clients and quite a lot requested an online version. Rather than recreate the entire thing in HTML we found FlowPaper that converts PDF's to flip books. It's pretty versatile (though heavy on data), but it actually converts PDF's very well, which is surprising. It might not be what you're after though! Source: about 5 years ago
