Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

Budli.in 5 features
git-sizer 5 features
  • Refurbished Electronics Focus
Budli.in specializes in refurbished and pre-owned electronics like laptops, phones, and tablets, offering budget-friendly alternatives to buying new devices.
  • Warranty on Products
Many products come with a warranty period, providing buyers some assurance regarding quality and after-sales support, which is uncommon for many refurbished marketplaces.
  • Cost Savings
Prices are typically significantly lower than new devices, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers looking for functional electronics.
  • Variety of Brands and Categories
The platform offers a range of categories including mobiles, laptops, tablets, and accessories from multiple popular brands, giving buyers more choices.
  • Quality Checks
Products often undergo a grading and quality-check process before being listed, which can help ensure a baseline level of functionality and condition.
  • Comprehensive Repository Analysis
git-sizer analyzes many different dimensions of a Git repository including commit count, tree size, blob size, history depth, and reference counts, providing a holistic view of repository health and potential scaling issues.
  • Easy to Use
The tool is simple to run with minimal setup—just execute it within a git repository—and it produces clear, human-readable output that highlights potential problem areas without requiring complex configuration.
  • Identifies Performance Bottlenecks
It helps identify specific issues that could degrade Git performance, such as excessively large blobs, deep history, large trees, or too many references, which is valuable before migrating or scaling repositories.
  • Open Source and Maintained by GitHub
Being an official GitHub project, it benefits from credibility, community trust, and ongoing maintenance, and it is well documented with clear explanations of what each metric means.
  • Useful for Pre-Migration Checks
It's particularly helpful for teams migrating repositories to new platforms or consolidating repos, as it flags potential issues that could cause problems during migration or with hosting providers' limits.

Possible disadvantages

  • No Automatic Remediation
git-sizer only identifies and reports issues but does not offer any built-in tools or automated processes to fix problems like large blobs or excessive history depth—users must use separate tools like BFG Repo-Cleaner or git-filter-repo.
  • Output Can Be Overwhelming for Beginners
While detailed, the output includes many metrics and threshold levels that may be confusing for users unfamiliar with Git internals, requiring some learning curve to fully interpret results.
  • Limited to Local Analysis
The tool analyzes a local clone of the repository, so it requires users to have a full local copy of the repo (or at least enough history) to get accurate results, which can be time-consuming for very large repositories.
  • No Real-Time Monitoring
It functions as a one-time analysis tool rather than providing continuous or real-time monitoring of repository health, requiring manual reruns to track changes over time.
  • Command-Line Only Interface
The tool lacks a graphical user interface, which may be less accessible for users who prefer visual dashboards or are less comfortable with command-line tools.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Budli.in's answer

750,000+ users across India trust Budli to buy and sell used/refurbished electronics.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Budli.in's answer

DIPS for Dynami Pricing, BELA for automated Ai based selling on WhatsApp.

What makes your product unique?

Budli.in's answer

Budli combines transparent, honest condition grading with real accountability — every device goes through a 25-point quality check, and listings clearly disclose exact cosmetic and functional condition rather than vague grading labels. Refurbished and Good Condition devices come with a 6-month service warranty, plus free pickup when you sell and payment within 3-4 days. Budli covers phones, laptops, tablets, and other gadgets under one platform, both for buying refurbished devices and selling your old ones.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Budli.in's answer

Warranty coverage on refurbished and good-condition devices, a 7-day return policy, and condition grading that discloses specific defects (not just a generic "good/fair" label) — so buyers know exactly what they're getting before it ships. For sellers, free pickup and fast payment (3-4 days) remove the usual friction of selling used electronics.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Budli.in's answer

Budget-conscious buyers across India looking for tested, warrantied refurbished electronics — students needing affordable laptops, first-time smartphone buyers, small offices equipping teams on a budget, and environmentally-conscious shoppers who prefer reuse over buying new. On the sell side: anyone looking to responsibly and profitably offload an old phone, laptop, or gadget instead of letting it sit unused.

What's the story behind your product?

Budli.in's answer

Budli was founded in 2015 in Bangalore by Rohit Bagaria as India's first instant online ReCommerce portal. The name "Budli" means "Change" in Hindi — reflecting the founding question: why should perfectly good technology end up in drawers or landfills while millions of Indians still can't afford quality devices? Budli set out to solve both problems at once, giving used electronics a second life while making technology more accessible. Since then, Budli has built proprietary technology to power fair, instant resale — including DIPS (Dynamic Instant Pricing System) for real-time device valuations and BELA, an AI assistant that helps people sell devices over WhatsApp — while also running Device to Dream, a social impact initiative donating refurbished devices to underprivileged students. The company has been featured on BBC, CNBC, and Fortune India, and was named Digit Zero1's Most Trusted ReCommerce Brand in 2024.
