Https://usebottles.com/ These have been around since I last used WINE in anger on macOS. Basically think of it as a container for running an app in WINE with all the settings predefined for best compatibility. The homepage doesnโt really highlight this but you can look through the docs for more information. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Once the masses discover that KDE is just as user friendly as Windows these days and that is relatively easy to run (most) Windows apps they love through Bottles (https://usebottles.com/), and WinApps (https://github.com/winapps-org/winapps)... oof. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
I've been having great success with bottles (https://usebottles.com/). The fact that you can have multiple tweakable prefix helps a lot. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
Wine can be a bit of a headache if you are on a couple year older distro as it can make it harder to install newer Wine versions. But I found that the Bottles project pretty much solves this, by installing everything in some kind of sandboxed environment: https://usebottles.com/ https://github.com/bottlesdevs/Bottles Has worked wonderfully for the few cases where plain Wine failed. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago

We use Companion on every showโcanโt remember how I did one without it. As long as the gear you are using is supported, you canโt go wrong. Very easy to setup and use. Highly recommended. Source: about 3 years ago
Can probably do this with Companion. Often used with stream deck but works with a phone too afaik. Source: about 3 years ago
Companion is a great way to approach complex macros like these. Basically you'd stack several actions to your one button, like this:. Source: about 3 years ago
I use a Stream Deck daily to control AV production gear using BitFocus Companion (https://bitfocus.io/companion). I am constantly surprised at the range of supported equipment. Complex operations that used to take three people can be done by a single person. For a basic example: Audio operator fades out background music and brings up video playback audio channels. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
