One last source of confusion worth clearing up. Git is the version control system itself, the underlying technology that does the change-tracking. GitHub is one popular place to host projects that use Git, and it is not the only one. GitLab and Bitbucket do much the same job. A beginner does not need to evaluate all three. Picking the one a tutorial or a friend already uses is a fine way to start because... - Source: dev.to / 2 months ago
While browsing the web, I came across a feature of GitKraken called Launchpad. This feature enables us to get a big-picture view of all issues and PRs where we are the creator or a follower. If you donโt know GitKraken, it is a Git client with an awesome UI for managing your repositories. You can use it as a desktop app, website, editor extension (GitLens), or the CLI. They have also released an MCP server in the... - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
While Cursor supports bugbot for GitHub PR reviews, thereโs nothing similar out-of-the-box for bitbucket users. Setting up Bitbucket MCP with Cursor changed that for meโand made my dev life a lot smoother. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
I am using GitHub for both personal and work projects. In the past, I used BitBucket, and at some point I considered using GitLab, too. However, the popularity of GitHub and its ecosystem made it hard to ignore. I even use GitHub to follow trends in my profession. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
Facilitated Collaboration and Funding: With easier identification comes better connectivity. Contributors, partners, and funders can more readily find projects that resonate with their interests and values. Moreover, platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket are increasingly interested in integrating standardized licensing solutions like License-Token, paving the way for broader adoption and collaborative... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
I use https://pi.dev/ which works fine out of the box but is fairly minimal and intended to be customized. There are many extensions. OpenCode or oh-my-pi might make more sense if you just want a batteries-included agent. You can also make Claude Code work with other models without too much work, but I think that's asking for headaches. - Source: Hacker News / 4 days ago
I divided the project into three parts, inspired by Tau's "brain, environment, face" split, and by Mario Zechner's pi:. - Source: dev.to / 6 days ago
Maybe you should try using Pi [0] if you care a lot about owning your harness and making sure you're in control of what goes into your system prompt and context? [0]: https://pi.dev. - Source: Hacker News / 12 days ago
An extensible LLM agent (such as https://pi.dev/ or maybe hermes) written in common lisp could be interesting. Conditions and restarts and general debugging and repair of the live system, fast startup, native execution speeds, ability to add or replace or modify core functionality on the fly, solid multi-threading support, dynamic introspection including documentation, CLOS and multiple dispatch, saved images. - Source: Hacker News / 13 days ago
Over one night I rebuilt both halves of that sentence on pi โ an open, npm-distributed, forkable agent runtime โ mostly to find out how much of my harness was discipline and how much was one host's shape. Two public repos came out of it: pi-eval for the proof half, and pi-gates for the irreversibility half. - Source: dev.to / 15 days ago
