Nah, there’s plenty of good stuff. Datagrip is really powerful if you want to stay in the jetbrains ecosystem. Beekeeper is strong. There’s several others too. Source: over 3 years ago
I've also spent a lot of time with this article on beekeeperstudio.io. It walks through similar steps but it doesn't seem to resolve the issue. Up until now, the X server issues were more of an annoyance than anything, but now I really need to resolve them. If you have any thoughts or suggestions I welcome the help. Thanks to your help, I overhauled the connection logic for my app, Beekeeper Studio and launched the updated version earlier this week. Source: about 4 years ago
As the creator of a desktop app (https://beekeeperstudio.io) I can tell you there's no way I'd have been able to do it without electron. No way. Electron let's me provide feature parity for three platforms on a nights and weekends time budget. Plus the whole Vue ecosystem is available to me. - Source: Hacker News / over 4 years ago
Some of us are. I make https://beekeeperstudio.io. I think there's a huge market need for good desktop apps, many folks prefer them to online tools. Bonus: It's never been easier to build a cross-platform desktop app. - Source: Hacker News / over 4 years ago
I used Docusaurus to host my documentation website. Although it used mdx (based on React) while the rest of my website was using Svelte, there just wasn't a solution that worked nearly as well out of the box. There I made some basic tutorials and wrote documentation for the API. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
If you use a doc-as-code tool like VitePress, Asciidoctor, or Docusaurus, you can render CSV files as HTML tables at build time — either natively or through a custom plugin. Most tools support CSV includes out of the box or with minimal effort, and any AI assistant can generate the glue code for your specific stack in seconds. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
There's no shortage of documentation tools out there, and honestly, that can make the decision harder rather than easier. After working with various clients and our own projects here at Digital Speed, we've found ourselves reaching for a handful of tools repeatedly: Docusaurus, VuePress, Redocly, and Fumadocs. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
Docusaurus is a popular choice for developer-first documentation, especially for teams that prefer Git-based workflows and static site generation. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
Docusaurus gives you complete control. It's open-source, React-based, and incredibly flexible. The trade-off? You're essentially maintaining a website. For a solo technical writer at a startup, that overhead wasn't something I could justify. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
