SearchReplace is a bulk find and replace tool built specifically for HubSpot - no developer required, no Data Hub Pro subscription needed.

The Problem

HubSpot has no native bulk find and replace for CMS content. The closest option (HubSpot Data Hub Pro) costs $800/month and still doesn't work on blog posts, landing pages, or website pages. That leaves agencies and marketing teams manually updating records one by one during rebrands, domain migrations, and data cleanup projects.

What SearchReplace Does

SearchReplace connects directly to your HubSpot portal and lets you find and replace any text string across:

  • HubSpot CMS โ€” blog posts, landing pages, site pages (body, title, meta description, slug, head/footer HTML)
  • HubSpot CRM โ€” contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and custom objects (any text property)

Changes are previewed before anything goes live, so you can confirm exactly which records will be updated before running the replacement.

Who It's For

  • HubSpot agencies managing 3+ client portals
  • Marketing ops and RevOps teams handling HubSpot data hygiene
  • Anyone running a HubSpot rebrand or domain migration

Pricing

AWS Glue features and specs

  • Fully Managed
AWS Glue is a fully managed ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) service, which means you don't need to manage any underlying infrastructure. This reduces the operational overhead and allows you to focus on the data processing tasks.
  • Scalability
AWS Glue can automatically scale resources up or down based on the demand and workload, ensuring optimal performance without manual intervention.
  • Serverless
Being serverless, there are no servers to manage or maintain. You only pay for the resources that you consume, which can result in significant cost savings.
  • Integrated Data Catalog
AWS Glue comes with a built-in data catalog that helps you organize and discover your data. It automatically indexes and maintains metadata about your data, making it easier to manage.
  • Support for Multiple Data Sources
AWS Glue supports a variety of data sources including Amazon S3, RDS, Redshift, and many external databases, providing flexibility in your ETL processes.
  • Developer Tools
AWS Glue provides developer endpoints for custom ETL logic, and integrates with AWS SDKs, Boto3, and the AWS CLI, allowing for a flexible development experience.

Possible disadvantages of AWS Glue

  • Complex Pricing
The pricing model for AWS Glue can be complicated, involving multiple components such as Data Processing Units (DPUs), data catalog storage, and crawler costs, which may make it hard to estimate costs.
  • Learning Curve
There is a significant learning curve for developers who are new to AWS Glue, especially when it comes to understanding its various components and configurations.
  • Performance for Small Datasets
AWS Glue is optimized for large-scale data processing, which may result in suboptimal performance and higher costs for smaller datasets.
  • Vendor Lock-in
Using AWS Glue ties you to the AWS ecosystem, making it harder to switch to another cloud provider without significant rework of your ETL pipelines and data catalog.
  • Limited Debugging Tools
The debugging and troubleshooting tools for AWS Glue are somewhat limited compared to other mature ETL tools, which may complicate the development and maintenance of ETL jobs.
  • Job Run Delays
There can be delays in job startup times, which can be problematic for certain time-sensitive applications requiring near real-time data processing.

Analysis of AWS Glue

Overall verdict

  • AWS Glue is generally considered a good option for organizations looking for a powerful, scalable, and cost-effective ETL solution within the AWS ecosystem. Its ease of integration with AWS services, managed nature, and capability to handle large volumes of data make it a strong choice, particularly for teams that are already using AWS services.

Why this product is good

  • AWS Glue is a fully managed ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) service that makes it easy to prepare and transform data for analytics, machine learning, and application development. It is particularly beneficial for its serverless architecture, which allows users to run data processing jobs without the need to manage any infrastructure. The service integrates seamlessly with other AWS services like S3, RDS, and Redshift, providing a robust ecosystem for data processing. It also supports a wide range of data sources and formats, and offers a graphical interface for easy job creation and monitoring.

Recommended for

  • Organizations already using AWS services and looking to streamline their ETL processes.
  • Data engineers and developers who need a scalable solution to handle large datasets without managing infrastructure.
  • Companies that require seamless integration with a wide array of data storage options and formats.

Analysis of SearchReplace

Overall verdict

  • SearchReplace.com is a niche but effective online tool for performing bulk search-and-replace operations, particularly popular among WordPress users for database URL migrations and text replacements, though it functions more as a specialized utility than a full-featured software product.

Why this product is good

  • Simple, straightforward interface focused on a single task done well
  • Useful specifically for WordPress database serialized search-replace operations, which are tricky to do manually
  • Free or low-cost access for basic use cases
  • Saves time compared to manual database editing or writing custom scripts
  • Handles serialized PHP data correctly, which many other tools fail to do properly

Recommended for

  • WordPress developers and site migrators needing to update URLs across serialized database entries
  • Freelancers or agencies handling multiple client site migrations
  • Users moving a WordPress site from staging to production or between domains
  • Non-technical users who need a GUI-based solution instead of command-line database queries
  • Small-scale one-off database text replacement tasks

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing AWS Glue and SearchReplace.

What makes your product unique?

SearchReplace's answer:

SearchReplace is the only tool that runs bulk find and replace across both HubSpot CMS content and HubSpot CRM records simultaneously. No developer required, no Data Hub Pro subscription needed. Most HubSpot users discover that HubSpot's native find and replace requires Data Hub Pro at $800/month, and even then it doesn't work on blog posts, landing pages, or site pages. SearchReplace fills that gap with a UI-based tool that previews every change before anything goes live, covering CMS content and CRM records in a single pass.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SearchReplace's answer:

SearchReplace is purpose-built for the specific task of bulk text replacement in HubSpot. It does one thing and does it exceptionally well. HubSpot's Data Hub Pro costs $800/month and still doesn't touch CMS content. SearchReplace starts free and handles both CMS and CRM content from a single interface. For agencies managing rebrands, domain migrations, or URL updates across multiple client portals, SearchReplace reduces a multi-hour manual task to minutes.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SearchReplace's answer:

SearchReplace is built for HubSpot agencies and in-house marketing operations teams. The primary users are agency owners managing three or more HubSpot client portals, RevOps managers responsible for HubSpot data hygiene, and marketing ops leads handling CMS migrations, domain changes, or rebrands. These are non-technical users who need to make bulk changes across hundreds or thousands of HubSpot records without writing code, running database queries, or purchasing expensive platform add-ons. WordPress site owners handling domain migrations and content updates are a secondary audience.

What's the story behind your product?

SearchReplace's answer:

SearchReplace was built by Nathan Parikh / HappyWP after encountering the same problem repeatedly while working with HubSpot clients: a client would rebrand, change domains, or clean up a portal, and the team would spend hours manually updating records one by one because HubSpot has no native bulk find and replace for CMS content. The HubSpot community has been requesting this feature since 2017. Rather than wait for HubSpot to build it, we built SearchReplace as a standalone tool that solves the problem directly, without requiring expensive HubSpot add-ons or developer involvement.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

SearchReplace's answer:

SearchReplace is a web-based SaaS application built with modern full-stack JavaScript. It integrates directly with the HubSpot API to read, preview, and write changes across connected portals. The application uses OAuth-based authentication for HubSpot connections, meaning no credentials are stored and no plugins need to be installed on the connected sites.
