Instead of rebuilding your experience for every application or client pitch, you maintain one professional profile as your source of truth. From that profile, ProfileLoop helps you:

• Generate tailored, ATS-friendly resumes for specific job descriptions • Draft freelance client proposals from pasted job briefs (Pro) - Choose from multiple professional resume templates with clean PDF export - Import faster with AI extract from uploaded resume PDFs or pasted text (e.g. LinkedIn export or notes) - Track changes with version history on profiles, resumes, and proposals

ProfileLoop is designed for people who apply to multiple roles or send regular client proposals — one profile, many outputs.

Pricing: Free plan with essential templates and limited quotas. Pro is $8/month (or $80/year) for higher limits, proposals, and more monthly AI credits. First paid subscription includes a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Asana and ProfileLoop.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ProfileLoop's answer:

If you only need one simple resume once and never tailor it, a basic free builder may be enough. ProfileLoop shines when tailoring, reuse, and proposals matter.

What makes your product unique?

ProfileLoop's answer:

Most resume tools help you build one document at a time. ProfileLoop is built around centralized professional profiles that power everything else: tailored resumes for each job application, freelance proposals from client briefs, and version history so you can refine what works.

That means less copy-pasting between tools, fewer inconsistent versions of your experience, and faster turnaround when you’re applying to multiple roles or pitching multiple clients. Resumes use ATS-friendly templates with clean PDF export; AI helps extract from resume PDFs or pasted text and tailor content to job descriptions — you stay in control and edit before export.

In short: one profile, many outputs — resumes and proposals in one career toolkit.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ProfileLoop's answer:

ProfileLoop’s primary audience is career-active professionals who create more than one resume or pitch document over time.

Core users include:

  • Job seekers tailoring ATS-friendly resumes to different job descriptions
  • Freelancers and independent consultants turning client briefs into proposals
  • Career switchers and multi-track professionals maintaining versioned profiles for different roles or practice areas

These users value speed, consistency, and reuse — they don’t want a one-off resume builder; they want a single source of truth that powers multiple applications and client pitches.

What's the story behind your product?

ProfileLoop's answer:

ProfileLoop started from a simple frustration: job seekers and freelancers keep rewriting the same career story for every application and client pitch. Resumes, proposals, and notes end up scattered across docs, ChatGPT chats, and outdated PDFs.

We built ProfileLoop around one idea — keep a single professional profile as your source of truth, then generate tailored ATS-friendly resumes and freelance proposals from it. AI speeds up extracting and drafting; you stay in control of what gets exported.

The goal isn’t another one-off resume builder. It’s a career toolkit that helps people move faster when they’re applying or pitching more than once.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ProfileLoop's answer:

ProfileLoop is built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript on the frontend, styled with Tailwind CSS. Backend data and auth run on Supabase (PostgreSQL). AI features use OpenAI (via LangChain), PDF resumes are generated with React-PDF, and billing is handled through Lemon Squeezy.

Asana Reviews

  1. Simple and effective

Asana helps me keep my projects organized and ensures I don’t miss deadlines. It’s straightforward to use and works well for team coordination.

    Competitors: Trello
    Pros:    Easy to use
  2. Convenient

Convenient. It helps to stay organized and track task progress.

  3. Good, but not the best.

While Asana is a robust task management and project planning tool, in my experience, it falls slightly short when compared to Trello, particularly in terms of user-friendliness and simplicity. Asana offers a variety of features such as multiple project views (list, board, timeline, calendar), custom fields, and reporting tools, which can be highly beneficial for complex project management. However, I found that the learning curve can be steep, especially for team members not familiar with this type of software. The interface, while feature-rich, can feel a bit cluttered and overwhelming for new users. On the other hand, Trello shines in its simplicity and straightforward design. The visual card and board system is intuitive and easy to grasp, making it a more accessible tool for team members of varying tech proficiency levels. Additionally, Trello's user interface is cleaner and more streamlined, which contributes to an overall more enjoyable user experience.

In terms of collaboration, both tools provide good collaborative features like commenting, tagging, and task assignment. However, I appreciate Trello's flexibility with its Power-Ups, allowing integration with a wide array of apps which enhances its functionality. In conclusion, while Asana is a powerful tool with extensive features, I prefer Trello for its ease of use, simplicity, and intuitive design. However, I do see the value of Asana for larger teams or more complex projects.
