  1. Appwrite is awesome, free and open-source!

I've use it instead of Firebase on a 15$ DigitalOcean droplet and saved around ~$150 a month. Managing my own infra does take some extra time, but definitely worth it. The APIs and SDK are also surprisingly much easier to consume than Firebase. Waiting for the cloud version.

Initially, I was using the Supabase free tier, but I was hitting the limits, and my app was becoming stale. Then I switched to Appwrite. That's what I thought. But do you sometimes receive any e-mails from the new 'RE portal' at https://game.capcom.com/residentevil/en/? Since the change from the old RE Portal to the new RE portal I just linked to, I haven't received any e-mail about RE (portal) except for these childish ones. Before the change, I used to receive an e-mail from time to time that did look professional, legit, etc. Source: over 4 years ago
  • How does Ethans health work? Is there a place where I can look up the numbers?
Ethan's base health is 1000 according to resident evil.net. I don't know how much health Ethan gains, but I would guess something around 100 or so. For example, the LEMI does 100 damage without upgrades, so you would need to shoot Ethan 10 times until he's dead. Enemies also have this HP system, I think Lady D, for example, has around 8000 HP on VOS in her boss fight. Source: over 4 years ago
