Possible disadvantages of Appetize

  • Cost
Appetize is a subscription-based service, and the cost can be a concern for smaller developers or those without a budget for such services.

Being a cloud-based emulator, performance can sometimes be impacted by network latency, which may not provide the exact feel of running on a physical device.
  • Limited Free Tier
The free tier of Appetize is quite limited in terms of usage minutes and features, making it less viable for extended use without a paid subscription.
  • Feature Limitations
Certain features available on physical devices may not be fully supported or accurately emulated on Appetize, which can impact testing and development.
  • Dependency on Internet
Since it is web-based, continuous internet connectivity is required to use Appetize, which may be a hassle in environments with unreliable internet access.
  • Resource-Intensive
Running Appetize in a browser can be resource-intensive, potentially slowing down other operations on the user's computer, especially during heavy usage.

Possible disadvantages of Windows95

  • Limited Functionality
While it faithfully emulates Windows 95, it does not provide the full functionality of the original OS or compatibility with all the software from that era.
  • Performance
Being an emulated environment within an Electron app, it may not run as efficiently or smoothly as a native or dedicated emulator instance.
  • Security Risks
Running outdated software can pose security risks, as the original Windows 95 lacks modern security features and updates. Users should be cautious when interacting with files or networks.
