Apache HTTP Server
Dash for macOSNo Apache HTTP Server videos yet. You could help us improve this page by suggesting one.
Once you get use to it, you won't be able to imagine your life without Dash. It will save you a bit of time every day. Many times.
As a bonus you can use the "snippets" feature as a generic text-expander. That saves me tons of time when writing emails, too.
p.s. aText is not exactly a direct competitor; however, I replaced it through the snippets feature of Dash.
Dash for macOS might be a bit more popular than Apache HTTP Server. We know about 94 links to it since March 2021 and only 71 links to Apache HTTP Server. Choose between Apache or Nginx as your web server and configure it to handle API requests. For Apache, use an .htaccess file in your project directory to enable clean URLs and route all traffic through your main PHP file. Nginx requires similar adjustments in its server block configuration. - Source: dev.to / 10 months ago

The license was notably used in web server software, such as in projects that led to the creation of the Apache HTTP Server. Its source disclosure requirement helped build trust among early developers, and community improvements drove rapid innovation during the early stages of the internet. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Enterprise Software Frameworks: Companies developing robust, scalable solutions now favor licenses that not only protect against unauthorized commercial exploitation but also encourage contributions. Just as the Apache HTTP Server has been a success story for open source, frameworks built on the HSQLDB License have gained traction for their fairness. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Web Servers and Infrastructure Projects: Projects like the widely used Apache HTTP Server emphasize stability and developer fairness. SISSL 1.1 has been utilized in similar infrastructure projects to provide legal certainty while preventing exploitation of contributions. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago

This isn't a new idea for developer tools. DevDocs, Zeal, and Dash have offered offline documentation browsing for years. What's new is applying this architecture to AI agents โ giving your coding assistant the same offline, instant, version-accurate access to docs that you'd want for yourself. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
"the IDE had to be discoverable right away (which it was) and self-contained to offer you a complete development experience" This right here was the key to super flow state. Lightning fast help (F1), very terse and straightforward manuals. I have tried to replicate this with things like Dash (https://kapeli.com/dash), to some degree of success. The closest thing I had to this in windows was probably Visual Studio... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
You're absolutely right about the root cause being outdated AI knowledge bases/training data. I agree, my solution doesn't address that directly. Where this actually shines is with local LLMs (Ollama, etc) - smaller models, no API costs, fully offline, and the AI gets fresh docs without waiting months for model retraining cycles. Your point about convincing major providers to integrate something like Dash... - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
Https://kapeli.com/dash for MacOS supports man pages just like any of its many other documentation sources. Just prefix the search query with `man:`. Absolute hall of fame app IMO. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
