OrbStackAnyDesk is particularly recommended for small to medium-sized businesses, IT professionals, and individuals who need to access their desktops remotely for work or personal use. It is also suitable for customer support teams needing to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues remotely.
OrbStack might be a bit more popular than AnyDesk. We know about 37 links to it since March 2021 and only 32 links to AnyDesk. At work we have a few headless servers and use dummy plugs to trick AnyDesk into rendering the image without a monitor. Not business standard but it gets the job done. Source: over 2 years ago
AnyDesk is a remote desktop application for Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile systems, and you don’t need to create an account to work with it. There are a bunch of options to run containers locally on macOS. In addition to the dominant Docker Desktop, there are other excellent tools like OrbStack, Podman/Podman Desktop and even a solution from Apple starting with macOS 26 (Tahoe). - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
Another alternative (although Mac OS-only) is [0] OrbStack. Some devs in my team are running it as a more performant alternative to Docker Desktop for Mac and they are very happy so far. [0]: https://orbstack.dev. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
