Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Amazon AWS and PRIVATEBYTE.

What makes your product unique?

PRIVATEBYTE's answer:

Every plan includes an unmetered port with no overage billing. Backups, snapshots and DDoS protection are included, not sold as add-ons. Public price comparisons show the real monthly cost, including bandwidth overage.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

PRIVATEBYTE's answer:

You know the bill before you buy: no bandwidth overage, backups and DDoS protection included, and servers in Dallas, Amsterdam and the UK. Windows and custom ISO uploads are supported, and you manage servers from a browser console or a Telegram bot.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

PRIVATEBYTE's answer:

Developers, self-hosters and small teams that run bandwidth-heavy or always-on workloads: game servers, media, scraping, bots and AI agents, and anyone who has been caught by a bandwidth overage bill.

What's the story behind your product?

PRIVATEBYTE's answer:

A hosting company built by someone who ran servers and got tired of surprise bandwidth bills. We wanted plans where the price you see is the price you pay, and we publish the comparison numbers to prove it.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

PRIVATEBYTE's answer:

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Go and Redis and some Rust :)
