Possible disadvantages

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Aisel and CommitCat.

What makes your product unique?

Aisel's answer

Aisel is built on a simple observation: psychiatric documentation is as much about reading as writing. A psychiatrist preparing a court report or medico-legal certificate first has to work through years of records from multiple clinicians. Aisel does that heavy lifting:

  • Identifies and highlights the medical facts across the full record
  • Generates complete documentation, including medico-legal documents, with every statement cited to its source
  • Runs contradiction detection and completeness checks before anything is signed

The result: the psychiatrist reads less, writes faster, and gets back to the consultation room. Scribes make documents faster to write. Aisel makes them safer to sign.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Aisel's answer

For psychiatry, a medical scribe is often not enough. It writes fast, but it doesn't help the clinician identify the clinical facts buried in pages of documentation spanning several clinicians over multiple years. Aisel supports the whole task:

  • Source-cited output: every statement traces back to the record, so you always know what you're signing
  • Built for the heavy documents: court reports, tribunal/MHA work, medico-legal certificates, benefits reports
  • Compliance-first: GDPR-compliant, ISO 27001, end-to-end encrypted, UK/EU data residency

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Aisel's answer

  • Psychiatrists and psychologists in private clinics across the UK and EU
  • Clinicians producing medico-legal and statutory documents: expert court reports, tribunal/MHA reports, capability and benefits reports
  • Clinic owners who want to grow capacity without growing admin hours

What's the story behind your product?

Aisel's answer

The name Aisel is inspired by the Danish word Æsel, which is the name for Eeyore in Winnie-the-poo. In popular culture, people believe Eeyore is suffering from depression.

Apart from the name, Aisel is a Danish company founded on a gap the AI scribe wave left open. Scribes automate the note from a consultation, but psychiatry's heaviest work is different: reports with legal weight, built from years of existing records. Making that safe requires traceability, not just speed. So we built a system where the clinician can verify every statement against its source, and always signs with full oversight. The clinician authors; Aisel prepares.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Aisel's answer

  • Large language models combined with retrieval over the patient's records, so generated text is grounded in source material rather than free-form
  • A citation engine linking every statement to its origin in the record
  • Verification layers: contradiction detection and completeness checks
  • Security by design: end-to-end encryption, UK/EU data residency, ISO 27001

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Aisel's answer

  • Private psychiatric and psychology clinics across the UK and EU
  • We don't disclose client names publicly due to the confidential nature of clinical work
