  For my Mac desktop, I use 1Focus desktop app. The free version of this blocks 6 hours at a time. It works like a firewall and will block access to websites no matter what browser you are using. Source: over 3 years ago

  I'm on a Mac and use https://onefocusapp.com/ and it works like a charm. There are some Chrome browser extensions available too like StayFocused. Source: over 3 years ago
