We have been a part of the clutch listing for the last few years. Suddenly we got a review from an unknown person on our company listing profile. We don't know the reviewer, or we didn't work with him till we got an entirely negative review on our listing (We didn't work with that person, maybe it's done intentionally with our competitor or anyone).
We informed clutch that we didn't work with such a person in the past. Then why do we have a negative review on our profile? They replied to us to answer feedback on the review with the lowest limit of 250 words. Why should we have to provide feedback to the reviewer with whom we never worked?
If the review is entirely fake, how is the clutch verifying it? We tried to contact clutch.co, and we got unexpected answers.
Clutch is biased towards clients only, claiming verification is standard but unable to share how they verified, which is unexpected.
Clutch.co is considered a valuable resource for businesses seeking reliable service providers. Its comprehensive reviews, verified client feedback, and in-depth ratings system make it a trustworthy platform for making informed decisions.

Next I found my biggest leads were through clutch.co (the first year at least), people googling "local app developers", and referrals. I knew clients needed sites to co-launch their app, I also needed a site, so learning web development and SEO ended up being seriously valuable. Clutch.co is a widely recognized online platform that serves as a comprehensive guide for businesses looking to make informed B2B buying and hiring decisions. With a focus on providing detailed company reviews and a robust business directory, Clutch has become an invaluable resource for those seeking professional services. The platform is often compared to competitors such as GoodFirms, Sortlist, TechTeamFinder, Toptal, Upwork, Digital Agency Network, and ThruHQ, standing out due to its in-depth, long-form customer reviews and personalized business profiles for agencies.
The general public opinion about Clutch.co, as reflected in various forums and blog posts, is largely positive. It is praised for being an effective B2B marketplace that offers a reliable space for discovering agency services. Clutch's credibility derives from its comprehensive reviews, which many businesses and professionals find beneficial in evaluating potential partners or service providers. These reviews encompass a wide array of firm characteristics, including hourly rates and project budgets, which aid in preventing misalignment in business expectations.
Agencies, in particular, seem to benefit significantly from Clutch's offerings. They appreciate the platform's ability to enhance their marketability through detailed profiles and verified client feedback. For example, many users have shared favorable outcomes from leveraging Clutch for lead generation and client acquisition, underscoring the platform's utility in the competitive digital agency landscape. Users have also noted that by having a presence on Clutch, businesses can establish third-party credibility, which is crucial for obtaining client trust.
Moreover, Clutch is often associated with providing opportunities for businesses to network with well-established and incorporated firms, thereby reducing the risks associated with hiring individual freelancers. This is especially valuable for companies looking to commit to larger and potentially riskier projects. However, it's important to recognize that Clutch's platform operates on an opt-in basis, meaning its listings are not exhaustive but still represent a significant portion of industry leaders.
Despite its many advantages, some users have advised caution when using the platform. While Clutch offers a pathway to reputable companies, due diligence is still necessary to ensure a perfect match between a business's needs and a firm's capabilities. This platform is frequently mentioned alongside other freelance and job search portals like Toptal and Upwork, indicating that savvy users often cross-reference information for better insights when making critical business decisions.
Overall, Clutch.co receives high marks for its ability to connect organizations with trustworthy business partners and its contribution to enhanced decision-making in a complex B2B environment. Its role as a connector in the professional services sector remains vital, as evidenced by its frequent appearance in discussions about strategic hiring and vendor evaluation.
