  The inspiration was CLCL and ClipMenu/Clipy. The only thing left to add would be a small ToolTip near the tray area as a preview of the current Clipboard contents but I haven't figured out how exactly I want that to look like. Source: about 3 years ago

  In the very early 2000s I found CLCL and fell for it, the simplicity was just mesmerizing, it worked flawlessly with Windows 98 and had very little to no issues with XP, but onward was a hit & miss. In macOS (OS X then) I used ClipMenu because of the similarities, then got discontinued and Clipy was forked from it and kept alive the dream. Source: about 3 years ago
