I made Cleavr as a desktop app first and gave it away for free. I got lots of downloads as well as lots of support requests. To keep support tickets away I put a small price tag on it. People still kept downloading and reaching out for support (not necessarily bugs but eben if they have their app issues). I then decided to go the path of a cloud SAAS app. The desktop app didn't hit $2k mostly be ause the price tag... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
I was pretty depressed at work a while ago and to take my mind off I made a desktop app for provisioning bring your own servers, creating sites, and deploying web apps. It was free. Fast forward a few years and a coworker joined me and we made a cloud version of it. It is doing ok but yet pay for two of us full time. However, we looooove working on it and helping customers esp. With their deployment issues. It is... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

Deploying via Cleavr.io should be pretty straightforward for any standard Strapi implementation. https://docs.cleavr.io/guides/strapi-cms. Mainly, connecting to a hosting provider, VC provider, then couple clicks in Cleavr to add Strapi site and deploy. I'm biased though. :-D If you give Cleavr a try and want more than 5 days of trial, feel free to send a note to 'hello at cleavr.io' and reference this thread for... Source: over 1 year ago

In Cleavr.io, provision a new server. Since Strapi requires a little more juice to build apps during deployment, deploy a server with a couple of cores. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
I run a SaaS, https://cleavr.io, and we use their API to provision servers. Actually, since our product is a server management console, we integrate with several hosting provider APIs and Hetzner servers by far provision the quickest. I'd say in a couple mins plus a few more for services we install on top of the basic server spin up. Other VPS providers take twice as long. Source: almost 2 years ago
On the Cleavr.io side, we've increasingly seen more users deploy out Nuxt3 apps. AND... We've also been receiving some support around Nuxt3 deployments. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
And there is server side rendering (SSR) which requires a (sometimes pricy) special webspace provider with NodeJS support, e.g. Vercel, Render, etc. Or you need to use a Virtual Private Server with NodeJS (which can be managed via cleavr or - as I learned recently - LaravelForge). - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
I use cleavr.io to deploy and manage my prod Nuxt apps, typically to a Hetzner or Vultr server, but AWS is supported as well. ;-). Source: almost 2 years ago
I have purchased/subscribed to all of their “official” offerings, including Spark, and Envoyer and this is something I’ve felt not just with Nova but across all their offerings. With so much frustration, a while ago I ended up writing a small alternative app of my own which has now turned up to be a self-sustaining SAAS product as Cleavr. Source: about 2 years ago
