I think its saying that because at chessable.com it said that knight has 3 points and rook has 5 points you take back but rook is still better than knight and the game thinks that promoting to queen isn't gaining any material. Source: 10 months ago
Chessable: Interactive chess books. Some recommended courses:. Source: 12 months ago
Chess.com membership on TOP. Get the gold one. Not the platinum. Chess.com already gives you a way to analyze. I don't see why you need an engine to say if the move is good or bad when you literally can analyze on your own. The lessons are very good. Some go over fundamentals that gothamchess courses have (Middlegame masterclass, beginner course, and intermediate course). Also while chess.com lessons doesn't have... Source: about 1 year ago
Would someone be open to giving feedback on end-game principles or ideas I should have thought about or be thinking about in this position? I've practiced end games pawns verse pawns and such on chessable.com but I think im missing some "known theory" that my opponents have from chess coaches/years of experience heh. But in the end, if I'm going to buy a book, I prefer a book that is a book that doesn't contain a lot of analysis, and teaches you the basics of chess. For that purpose I recommend Chessable, and the other one, Chessable. Source: about 1 year ago
I've tried Chessable. They have an excellent learning tool. Source: over 1 year ago
For puzzles that you have to play on a computer, like chess.com, lichess and chess.com have a free analysis board with puzzles with an analysis board. Chessable has a free analysis board, and Chess.com has a free analysis board. Source: over 1 year ago
I am finally starting to take tactics seriously, I bought the woodpecker method on chessable.com and hope it will help me reach 1700 by the end of 2022. Do you guys think this is possible? I will be trying to do 1hour+ of tactics daily. I aim to achieve NM in 5-10 years. Any suggestions or help to improve is appreciated. Source: over 1 year ago
I think you should go to the www.chessable.com site. If you have a chess set you want, you can have a chessable.com set for sale. There are many more places that sell these. Source: almost 2 years ago
There are some of those sites I think. The easiest is chessable.com. It's the best one for learning the theory of chess and the most practical for learning openings. There are others that I think are great. Chessable has a lot of resources and resources to help you improve. Source: almost 2 years ago
If you are looking for a free online resource to learn a game, I would recommend Chess.com or Chessable.com. I would recommend one of these two because they have a large selection of free lessons, and they have a very decent and helpful community. It's free and has a strong community. This is pretty cool. I can always use my chess set to do a custom set. I think there's a better way to do a set from the chessable or chessable.com store. Source: almost 2 years ago
If you want to learn the game, I'd recommend playing it, but you need to know the rules of the game. There are tons of resources on YouTube, like Chessable, Chess24, lichess etc. I would say the only good place to start is chess.com. Source: almost 2 years ago
I don't really have a good answer for you. I only know that you need to watch the first two episodes of the interviews for a good understanding of the themes you're looking for. You could also look at the comments on the first two episodes, and see how you came up with the plans for each episode. You can then take a look at the first two episodes, and try to see what the themes are. Then try to think about... Source: about 2 years ago
I'd be interested in the book! I'd put it up on r/AnarchyChess. I also think it should be available as a free download on chessable.com. Source: about 2 years ago
As for rating, I don't have one. I have a (paid) chess.com and lichess.org accounts (not to mention chessable.com and chesstempo.com) but no actual rating. Source: about 2 years ago
Working On: Logical Chess: Move by Move and Chess Tactics for Students. Playing games (with analysis) and doing puzzles. Also slowly going through some free Openings courses on chessable.com (I found Smithy's Opening Fundamentals to be an excellent course).*. Source: over 2 years ago
Have you checked out chessable.com? They have resources for building an opening repertoire, quite a bit of free courses as well that offer more than enough lines. Source: over 2 years ago
"Black can play very solidly, extremely aggressively or in highly creative fashion. It is unusual for an opening to offer the second player such a range of approaches." ~~ chessable.com. Source: over 2 years ago
If you follow me on Twitter you may have noticed that I’ve been getting back into playing and studying chess. As is my standard with hobbies, this includes listening to podcasts about it. A new podcast by Chessable called How to Chess (Episode 3 - Getting past a rating plateau) touched on a concept that I find extremely important to learning beyond chess - the idea of min/max learning vs fun. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
