Coinbase gave me an address to deposit my btc into and when the funds were sent there from the sender, the funds never arrived in my account. Upon consultation with coinbase, they tried to tell me that the address I supplied was not associated with my coinbase account, which is CLEARLY was. To find out when he created it (if you don't already know) you can just copy-paste the public wallet address into any block explorer (eg. blockchair.com) and look at the transaction history for that wallet. it will show any deposits he made to that address in date order. Source: over 3 years ago
Its fine if used correctly. Your paper wallet contains a public key as well. You can type it into a block explorer of your choice, eg I like https://blockchair.com/ but every bitcoin block explorer will do and check if funds re still there. Source: over 3 years ago

I had Ethereum Classic und used ChangeNow to change it to Bitcoin Cash, about 4 USD... I had used Changenow without problems but now this is very weird. If I go to blockchair.com and input my BCH address "qzrh737d98uuccw9s25a3r33sxjafcx9ggr8k3dcfn" it tells me 1 transaction and the money is on my wallet. Go to blockchair.com. Load the page, click on Bitcoin, then Transactions. When the page loads, clear all criteria on the left then click on Time. Then click the filter and then select Exact and put in your date. Once the filter has been applied, click on Hash, Block, and Input to see the details of the transactions.
