Take a semi-decent photo of yourself and (either you or someone you know who knows how) run it through something like Midjourney or another Generative AI platform and have them make some slight changes. I did a quick google search and found befunky.com - never used them before so I'm not endorsing them or anything. And here we have someone that can't comprehend the idea of actually putting time and effort into making a 3x3. When making a 3x3 it's nice to be creative and personal with them rather than just using the low resolution covers on MAL. I used a site called befunky.com for that specific pic, I stumbled upon it after having fun on toonme.com which a friend had introduced me too. I wanted something better though since toonme only applies to your face, and tends to have issues if you wear ANY sort of headwear. So since befunky can apply effects to the full photo highly accurately, it's quite reliable and user friendly for anyone who doesn't have... Source: about 3 years ago
