I've been working with AWS services for six years. I got my first certification, the Solutions Architect (SA) Associate, in 2019 and took my last exam (Solutions Architect (SA) Professional recertification) 10 days ago. Solutions Architect (Associate) sits the level up from Cloud Practitioner. It is certainly a big jump in terms of knowledge and commitment, but provides a much deeper understanding of AWS services. Professional is higher again and is seen as the most difficult of the “role-based” certifications (shown in grey above). - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago

In the SAA (C03) I haven't found a single programming/coding question in my preparation and actual exam. What you will need is experience in understanding networking, systems, well-architected concepts and intimately understand the services you would need to design application architectures with. - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
People who help businesses decide on which AWS services to use and how to connect those AWS services together are called AWS Solutions Architects. People who specialize in the deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud and hybrid (mixed on-premise and cloud) applications are called DevOps specialists. Solutions Architects and DevOps specialists rarely or never refer to themselves as "IT people". Like you won't... Source: 11 months ago

First learn the fundamentals of operating systems (preferably Linux), networking, and infrastructure (storage, virtualization, containers, application stacks), then after you have built some base knowledge I would study for the AWS CSA Associate. Source: about 1 year ago
This test is a huge introduction to the impressive tools that AWS has and if you really want to have a guide while learning these important topics, you need to invest time in yourself to learn these things. You can read freely on their public websites and take notes, or join local conferences. This cert, learning on AWS / well architected framework should be a good addition to your resume as well: https://aws.amazon.com/certification/certified-solutions-architect-associate/. I was thinking of this, https://aws.amazon.com/certification/certified-solutions-architect-associate/, but I am not sure if this is the equivalent of PCD or PCA (Architect) or the Associate Cloud Engineer (which is probably the easiest of the three). Source: over 1 year ago
Something like an Associate CSA cert (or pick your cloud provider) can go a long way toward not taking "as big" of a cut in the initial transition. Modern cloud experts are far and few between. Source: over 1 year ago
I imagine the CKA and CKAD are both equally important for companies, I'll do one after I finish both KodeKloud courses on K8s. The Terraform cert you mention is this one? I was thinking of doing the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate one, but idk if this is good for SRE, looks more for Cloud Architect? Source: over 1 year ago
Cloud security appears to be the highest-paying field within cybersecurity right now. Employers prefer vendor-specific cloud certs, so you might want to consider getting something like the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate ($150) or the AWS Certified Security - Specialty ($300). AWS is the cloud market leader. The AWS exams are pretty tough, though. Source: over 1 year ago
