1. What makes Appointa.hr unique?

Instead of one generic calendar, it ships with pre-configured setups for 27 business types across beauty, health and therapy, and fitness — each with the right client record fields, service structure and resource model already in place. Booking also runs across two apps: a business app for owners and staff, and a separate free app for their clients, so end customers get a real booking experience rather than a web form. Resource scheduling is first-class, meaning rooms, chairs, equipment and vehicles are bookable alongside people. Everything is hosted in the EU and built for the Croatian and wider CEE market, including local language support and GDPR compliance.

2. Why should a person choose Appointa.hr over its competitors?

   Most booking platforms were designed for hair and beauty and then stretched to fit everything else. That works until a physiotherapist needs a treatment room booked at the same time as a therapist, or a clinic needs several practitioners with different service durations sharing two rooms. 5. Which are the primary technologies used for building Appointa.hr?

   Flutter and Dart for the client and business mobile apps on iOS and Android, sharing a common internal design system. Next.js, React and TypeScript for the web administration. The backend runs on Python with FastAPI, with PostgreSQL as the primary database, Redis for caching and queues, and ClickHouse for analytics and reporting workloads. Background jobs run on ARQ. The full stack is containerised with Docker and self-hosted on dedicated infrastructure within the EU. Payments are handled through Stripe, and transactional messaging through Infobip.
