Kitty is also worth a look, though it doesn't run on Windows: https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/ I used iTerm2 on macOS for many years and still keep it around, but switched to kitty as my daily driver in late 2021 and have been very happy with it.

Alacritty is not minimal in its memory consumption. Foot <https://codeberg.org/dnkl/foot> is probably the best wayland minimal terminal emulator with an average memory consumption of ~2mb per instance.
