  If it's in Private DNS settings, does it work when you try switching to other DoT provider like say, p2.freedns.controld.com or adblock.doh.mullvad.net? I'd also recommend just using AdGuard for Android devices as it uses a local DNS to block ads, trackers, etc and forwards legitimate requests to a DNS service of your choice. You can just install the AdGuard app https://adguard.com/en/adguard-android/overview.html to get the same logging and filtering capability anywhere you are. If no attempt were made when you're using mobile data, it's possible your sync setting only allows syncing on wifi, or the app you use is only triggered to dowload ads on wifi.
