An AI cycling coach that learns what you can actually handle from your rides and optimizes your training, especially when life happens. Built for self-coached cyclists.
A startup from Bridgeville, the United States that is founded by Jim Camut.
This page is designed to help you find out whether AdaptCycling is good and if it is the right choice for you.
AdaptCycling is a self-learning AI cycling coach for self-coached riders. Connect a Wahoo, a Hammerhead Karoo, a Polar or an intervals.icu account and on day one it analyzes your ride history — the weekly load you actually hold, how many hard days you absorb, how fast you can safely ramp, and your FTP from your real power curve (no forced test). Then it keeps learning from every ride, so your plan and targets stay calibrated to your current fitness instead of a generic template. It's not a black box: every learned number names the rides that earned it, changes are proposed rather than silently applied, and you can approve or revert any of them.
From that model it writes a goal-anchored plan with a plain-language reason behind every session — then automatically rebuilds the week when life interrupts (a missed day, illness, travel, an unplanned group ride). It runs the sport's standard fitness/fatigue math (CTL/ATL/TSB) and acts on it for you, and a Premium AI chat coach remembers your goals and constraints across months. Structured workouts push straight to Wahoo ELEMNT and Hammerhead Karoo head units as power-target files. Every signup gets a 14-day full trial, no credit card; after that the Free tier keeps ride sync and your last plan read-only, and Premium is $15/month or $150/year. Cycling-only. Built by former pro Jim Camut.

If you're self-coached and don't want to become your own coach. The big analytics platforms give you world-class dashboards but leave the daily decision to you, and bought plans are static templates. AdaptCycling makes the call for you and adapts when life breaks the week. Theres not more guessing where your fitness is or if a workout is actually the right call. You can optimize the time and training you have and easily adjust.
Self-coached amateur and enthusiast cyclists training with a purpose - a goal event, FTP gains, real structure - who don't have and don't want a regular coach. They already record every ride on a Wahoo, a Hammerhead Karoo, a Polar or an intervals.icu account, and they're tired of manually rescheduling the whole plan every time work, family, travel, or illness gets in the way.
It was built by Jim Camut, a former professional cyclist who stopped racing for 15+ years and then got back into training after he had a family and full-time job. The insight: every training app assumes you'll execute the plan perfectly, but life happens and a static plan is wrong the moment life intervenes. He built AdaptCycling to meet him where he was in life and not have to retrofit his busy schedule with stubbornness other apps try to force.
The app has bespoke training models built on decades of training science. It's bundled in a Next.js and Typescript web application with chat and AI that run on OpenAI's latest models.
The plan rebuilds itself. Most cycling apps either analyze what you already did (TrainingPeaks, Intervals.icu) or hand you a fixed plan you reschedule by hand. AdaptCycling reads the rides you actually did, from a Wahoo, a Hammerhead Karoo, a Polar or an intervals.icu account, writes a goal-anchored plan with a reason for every session, and automatically restructures the week when you miss days, get sick, travel, or ride something unplanned. The training math is deterministic; the AI handles coaching and judgment, so it adapts without inventing your numbers.
I don't have specific, verified information about AdaptCycling (adaptcycling.com) in my knowledge base, so I can't confirm whether it's good or provide an accurate assessment. I'd recommend checking recent reviews, verifying business credentials, and looking at customer feedback on independent platforms before making a decision.
