Most free multi-tool sites either require file uploads to a server (a real privacy risk for sensitive documents) or bury useful tools behind signup walls and ad-heavy interfaces. Zeugly does neither — every tool works instantly, requires no account, and never sends your files anywhere. It's built for people who want speed and privacy without a compromise between the two.
Zeugly processes everything 100% client-side — every tool, from PDF editing to image conversion to password generation, runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and native browser APIs. Nothing is ever uploaded to a server, logged, or stored. Combined with a wide breadth of tools (PDF, image, text, developer utilities, QR/barcode, and more) available with no signup and no artificial limits, Zeugly offers genuine privacy without sacrificing functionality.
Developers and designers who need quick utility tools (JSON formatters, hash generators, image converters) without installing software; students and freelancers handling PDFs and documents; and privacy-conscious users who are uncomfortable uploading sensitive files (contracts, IDs, tax documents) to unknown third-party servers.
Zeugly began as QR Inspecter, a focused tool for generating and inspecting QR codes and checking them for safety risks. As more utilities were added — PDF tools, image converters, text and developer tools — the project outgrew its original name. It was rebranded to Zeugly to reflect its new scope as a full multi-tool suite, while keeping the same core commitment to privacy-first, client-side processing that it started with.
Zeugly is built with Astro.js for fast, content-focused page delivery and Tailwind CSS for styling. Since every tool runs entirely client-side, individual tools rely on browser-native APIs (Canvas, Web Crypto, FileReader) along with WebAssembly-based libraries where needed for heavier processing (e.g. PDF and file manipulation), ensuring no user data is ever sent to a server.
Zeugly is a free, anonymous-use tool — it doesn't require accounts or track individual users, so there isn't a traditional customer list. It's used broadly by developers, designers, students, and privacy-conscious individuals rather than specific named organizations.
