After configuring the Domain, the next essential step was to secure it with HTTPS. To achieve this, I utilized Azure's Content Delivery Network (CDN) service. Rate limiting is the primary pain, but let's say that the alternative solutions implement rate limiting as well for a theoretical scenario. You still don't get customer service, there is no way to upgrade to a better plan that may include SLAs and SLOs and 1 year certificates, there is no way to view certificates created and download the certs and private keys, if something goes wrong and you are not a mega corp... You cannot "hijack" a website without getting the persons password. Use 2 Factor Authentication on your account if you can. Get an SSL certificate so people can't steal passwords from users. You can get one for free with Cloudflare or ZeroSSL. Source: about 5 years ago
Tip: Later on in this post, we'll need to use a certificate with Application Gateway. The free App Service Managed Certificate is not exportable (as documented here), so you'll need to have an SSL certificated generated elsewhere to take in HTTPS traffic through the Application Gateway.
