Before Riverside, I was with Zencaster. I was very happy with them, and they recently just went through a big upgrade. They also have Vertical Grid options in their post-production. Zencastr has been pretty good. My goal when talking to remote guests is to have them do as little work as possible. No fiddling with Audacity, recording files, finding storage for those and sharing them with me - Zencastr makes that very simple because they record things client-side and then upload to my Google Drive, where I can just grab the content and process it. We've used Discord as our voice chat for years. We use Audacity to record all of our hosts locally, and we use Craig in the Discord server as a backup recording in case anything should go wrong with the local recordings (which it usually doesn't). Zencastr - While many rely on Zoom for recording, I use Zencastr. Zoom is excellent for meetings, but Zencastr video and audio is just better for editing and podcasting. Because the audio and video is recording on both ends and then auto uploaded to Google Drive when you finish recording, you get great quality.
