Three reasons: (1) Privacy — everything is processed locally with JavaScript/WebAssembly, nothing is ever uploaded to a server. WToolsKit didn't start as a product — it started as a pile of small scripts I kept rewriting for my own daily work: formatting JSON, converting images, decoding Base64, trimming audio, generating QR codes. Every time I needed one of those, the options were an ad-heavy website that uploaded my files to a server, or installing yet another desktop app.
So I started building my own versions and keeping them in one place, with three self-imposed rules: everything must run in the browser (files never leave your device), everything must be free with no sign-up, and each tool should do one job quickly and stay out of the way.
That personal toolbox gradually grew into wtoolskit.com — now 117+ tools across developer utilities, text, image, video/audio, PDF and CSS, localized into 16 languages and installable as a PWA. New tools are still added the same way: something I need myself, or something users request through the feedback button.
