But I just noticed: I discovered Written? Kitten! On a comment at r/FanFiction months ago, and I found that I could actually write as continuously as I can when using it. I know there may be other sites and apps that pretty much have the same function, but for me, it does help my brain cell make something out of whatever amount of creative juices I have left, like making lemonade out of lemons (pfft, dad metaphor,... • Sound Que when I hit my text goal?
There's something kind of in that vein that I know of. Written? Kitten! Is an online tool that is essentially a basic text box with a picture of a cat next to it. Every x amount of words (presets go from 100 to 1000), the cat picture changes. So it's not a sound cue, but it does function as a wordcount alert, if you will. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How do I write for a long period of time?

  • Recently Diagnosed in My Last Semester of Grad School
Http://writtenkitten.co/ got me through such a large percentage of my degrees. You can change it to pull pictures of something else if kittens aren't your jam (it just pulls from Flickr), and that consistent reinforcement helps me get going and stay going. Source: about 3 years ago
