This is very nice and simple. A few areas for improvement, in my opinion: the URL should be easy to copy, paste, or type into another device. I'd suggest designing the route like pindsend.app/pin/CODEHERE. Also, for some reason, copying and pasting the URL didn't seem to work in its current form. I would also consider implementing a QR code to allow quick scanning and redirection on another device, especially a... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

Isnโt https://wormhole.app/ the solution here? Note I havenโt used it, itโs just often brought up here as a good solution for this class of problem. Is it surprising that the author mentions a ton of solutions but not this one? - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
One of the two creators of https://wormhole.app here :) Now that weโve shifted our companyโs focus to https://socket.dev, Iโd love to open source Wormhole. Iโm quite proud of the code - Iโve worked on P2P and file transfer systems for so so long that I think this might be some of the best code Iโve worked on. Itโs just a matter of finding the time, but I expect this will be open source eventually. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
It's unfortunately not FOSS, but I quite like https://wormhole.app/ - It's client side encrypted and P2P when possible. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

Wondering if there is any better alternative to torrents with privtracker.com for sharing large files/folders. For small files I use Send (send.vis.ee) as recommended on privacyguides.org, but sometimes I want to share large files/folders in the 10-50GB range. I found wormhole.app but that only goes up to 10GB. (Looking at the Send FAQ on GitHub and a message on Wormhole's Discord server, the limits on both have... Source: about 3 years ago
