It is for people who deal with PDFs as part of their work or studies but do not need a full desktop PDF suite. I had freelancers, small business owners, office teams and students in mind. I built Wolf PDF out of frustration with how much effort a simple PDF task could take. I would need to merge a couple of files or make a small change and end up dealing with a download, an account or a subscription before I could finish. I wanted one place for those everyday jobs, with free usage to try it and paid plans for people who need more.
The frontend uses Next.js, React and TypeScript. The backend runs on Node.js with Express, with Python helpers for document processing. Supabase handles authentication and database services, and Stripe handles subscriptions and billing.
