+1 for https://whisk.com One feature that might not be obvious, at least here in the UK, is that it has integrations with most online supermarkets so you can relatively painlessly add your recipe shopping list to your online basket. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

But the most important tool that’s helped me is a website/app called Whisk that puts recipes through a nutrition calculator and provides a full nutrition breakdown, glycemic index and glycemic load information, and an overall health score. It even allows you to save recipes and edit them so you can adjust serving size or swap ingredients. Being able to look at the full nutrition break down has helped me find Keto... I've bought 2 cookbooks -- one by Coach Gregg and the other one by Jeremy Ethier. There are recipes in both that I like and I want to create a meal plan based on them. I tried using whisk.com but for it doesn't show the total calories and macros for the day, only per recipe. Source: over 2 years ago
One thing we used to cut down on our monthly food budget (and waste) was Whisk - there's an Android and iOS app for this. It's essentially an online shopping list but you can add recipes from any other site (we use BBC good food, mostly) then add the ingredients to the shopping list really easily. The other thing that really helps motivate me to cook is meal planning at the start of the week and getting all the ingredients in so I know what I've got coming up every night and I know I've got to use up the ingredients. This'll only be helpful if you use lots of online recipes like me, but I seriously can't recommend the Whisk app enough - it genuinely changed how I feel about cooking because it made choosing...
