We have collected here some useful links to help you find out if WebKit is good.
Check the traffic stats of WebKit on SimilarWeb. The key metrics to look for are: monthly visits, average visit duration, pages per visit, and traffic by country. Moreoever, check the traffic sources. For example "Direct" traffic is a good sign.
Check the "Domain Rating" of WebKit on Ahrefs. The domain rating is a measure of the strength of a website's backlink profile on a scale from 0 to 100. It shows the strength of WebKit's backlink profile compared to the other websites. In most cases a domain rating of 60+ is considered good and 70+ is considered very good.
Check the "Domain Authority" of WebKit on MOZ. A website's domain authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). It is based on a 100-point logarithmic scale, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. This is another useful metric to check if a website is good.

WebKit is a browser engine, a part of the software which, under the hood, makes an internet browser function. Apple's Safari browser uses WebKit directly, and then there's the Chromium-based browser family, which uses a previously forked version of WebKit; so browsers based on Chromium, such as Chrome and Edge, use something which was once WebKit, but has had years of development making it different in some ways. Exactly the same as JavaScript engines. Be it Mozilla's SpiderMoneky, Google's V8, Apple's Webkit, or Microsoft's Chakra. No matter how specific we draft a specification there is always room for interpretation. Every team has a different take on what part of a spec is describing. Oftentimes it's just a matter of varying pros and cons of different approaches on the road to matching spec; various teams just kind of... Source: over 2 years ago

Chromium is the open-source project that Google Chrome is based on. It used to use the Webkit browser engine, but Google created their own fork (their own version) of Webkit called Blink which is what Chromium (and Google Chrome) use now. Opera, Microsoft Edge, Brave and others are also using Blink, so any change that Google makes to the Blink browser engine will probably affect those browsers too. Source: over 3 years ago

So far the only thing that I see these apps have in common is that they are using webkit Web Engine. Yes even the apps I made, I made them using NW.JS, a framework that allows you to make desktop apps using web programming(HTML+CSS+JavaScript). Basically it has a webview(that also uses webkit engine) that renders the UI. Also my IDE VScode, is built with Electron, which exactly the kind of framework as NW.JS... Source: over 4 years ago

Now for user profiles and most of the things, it opens a webview. Now a webview is just using an existing browser engine like , to open a small browser window within your app. That makes it easier for you to leave things but you have extreme inconsistencies, that small chat popup is the first one, but since this is in beta I won't complain too much.
