  • ShareIt alternative
[Warpinator](https://github.com/linuxmint/warpinator) will do this. I've used it in the past and I just double checked if it will send android to android, which it does. There are packages for Windows and in F-Droid. It is developed by the Linux Mint team, so seems like a trusty source. But, always double check if you are confident in the publisher. • KDE App for Network File Transfer
New to the KDE ecosystem (running Neon), and looking for an app to easily send a file between two laptops on the same network. On Mint, I was able to use warpinator, which I could build from source here, but I am wondering if KDE already has something similar I could use? Thanks! Source: about 3 years ago
  • Opportunistic, pragmatic Pop!
Don't underestimate the appeal of small utilities. The elementary appcenter has nice little tools like this or this, and Mint has warpinator. Unity used to have some nice little helpers, too. For instance a HUD. Lets make a list of tools (or browse OMGUbuntu) and pick the top 20. Maybe includin this. Make them available on Pop and make the top 5 part of the default installation. • Can I host nextcloud on my PC? What happens to my little network if said PC goes down?
Assuming that your computers run on Linux and your phone and tablet run on Android, then theoretically this might work with Warpinator. Have Warpinator running on all your devices and it'll take care of pushing files/folders to other devices in the same network eliminating the need for a central server. It uses Zeroconf to make discovery of peers painless. Source: about 3 years ago
