Letter writing campaigns here: https://votefwd.org/. Source: about 1 year ago
Not completely on topic, but I wanted to share that I just wrote letters via Vote Forward (and had a letter writing party) for this election, if anyone wants to join in from not-in-Ohio! Source: over 1 year ago
If anyone is looking for a way to get involved and help defeat this, consider writing letters for vote forward: https://votefwd.org. Source: over 1 year ago
Thanks for your reply. Just so you know, being a voting advocate for friends and family is an incredibly effective way to get out the vote. Every year, I contact all my peeps and make sure their registration and address are correct, and they know when, where and how to vote, so keep up the good work! If you think you'd be up to writing postcards or letters, https://votefwd.org/ and ... Source: over 1 year ago
No worries, going door to door is challenging for almost everyone. Maybe a letter writing campaign? https://votefwd.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
If you don't like public settings, something that is less people-facing that I've done is write letters for Vote Forward. I most recently sent letters for the Wisconsin Supreme Court election and previous to that, worked on the Georgia runoff campaign, and of course the mid-terms. Source: over 1 year ago
The people over at /r/VoteDEM have been working their asses off to get out the vote in this critical race. We could really use the help, especially in the days leading up to the election. Also, consider writing a few letters to Wisconsin voters via Vote Forward and mailing them out tomorrow. You can make a huge difference in this race no matter where you are. Source: over 1 year ago
Just want to boost this post from last night and remind everyone to sign up for Vote Forward if they can. Even five letters can make a difference! Source: over 1 year ago
I write letters for votefwd.org. Their goal is to influence left leaning voters to go out and vote. Volunteers write hand written non-partisan letters to selected recipients. They achieve around 4% success which is enough to change close races. Source: almost 2 years ago
I've found that the best way to keep from losing my mind during all of this is to fight back in my own way. There are lots of organizations that use postcards and letters to both get out the vote and get people to register to vote. I have participated in Vote Forward, Blue Wave Postcard Movement, Postcards to Swing States, Postcards for Climate and Field Team 6 since 2017 - I've written over 400 letters and lost... Votefwd.org urges people to tweet the # of letters written and why. That's the closest I can come to what you're asking. Source: almost 2 years ago
There’s an organization that’s working on turning those non-voters into voters, and it’s been shown to have some success, and you can help by volunteering just a little of your time (and no, it doesn’t involve knocking on doors or making phone calls): VoteFwd.org. Worth looking into. Source: about 2 years ago
Here's what I'm doing. Writing letters to GA Democrats to encourage them to vote in the runoff. It's easy and you can do it from home. You just need a printer, paper, envelopes and some stamps... https://votefwd.org/. Source: about 2 years ago
Even just writing a few postcards/ letters can help a lot too boost turnout. One org that is active in this area of organising that I saw is Vote Forward. Source: about 2 years ago
With the GA Senate race going into runoffs, I want to share this non-profit that I volunteer with called Vote Forward - we write letters to encourage people to get out and vote! The founder just emailed that they will be releasing the program for GA tomorrow - please consider signing up and writing letters 🫶. Source: about 2 years ago
FWIW, I was recently introduced to VoteFwd.org as a way of getting out the vote (those apathetic voters you mentioned). Too late to use for this election now (letters were to go out in Saturday’s mail), but something to look into in the future. Source: about 2 years ago
Write letters to voters! I like the organization Vote Forward because their strategy has been tested experimentally and has been shown to actually increase turnout. You sign up, they give you 20 letters to print out, you write a personal, handwritten note on each letter, and then you address them (they give you a list) and mail them on a specific date called the "Big Send"... Which is coming up soon. So sign up ASAP! Source: about 2 years ago
Writing letters is one of the most effective ways to boost voter turnout. Buy a few stamps, write a few letters, and mail them on Saturday, October 29th. You can write as few as 5 letters: https://votefwd.org/. Source: about 2 years ago
8 days to go to write letters with Vote Forward! You will need a printer, envelopes, and stamps but there are still a LOT of voters needing to be adopted! Anyone care to join me in writing 5 or 10 more letters today? Right now there are 910,517 voters adopted and 1,122,930 remaining. Source: about 2 years ago
Anyone who wants to do something about it, try https://votefwd.org/. Source: about 2 years ago
Voteforward has a campaign I like where you can write letters to registered democrats who have never voted. They have a 30 minute virtual orientation to get started (almost every day of the week) and it’s super easy! https://votefwd.org. Source: about 2 years ago
