  • Barbie Secret Agent game for Mac
Also, if your sister has an Intel Mac instead of an M1 Mac, I highly suggest VirtualBox and setting up something like Windows XP on that instead of Windows 11-- the steps will be pretty similar, and VirtualBox is free. Source: 4 months ago
  • Is virtualbox.org down?
I am unable to reach any page within the virtualbox.org domain including forums, but I can't find any post online about others having this issue. Is there a known problem at virtualbox.org or should I look locally? I usually get the error 502 - Bad Gateway. Source: 4 months ago
  • Multipass: Ubuntu Virtual Machines Made Easy
Some of these tools include Oracle VM VirtualBox (that I've used since before the acquisition of Sun Microsystems by Oracle), VMWare Workstation Player, and QEMU, but last year, I found out about Multipass. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
  • Can I use a Mac?
You can use a Mac, then use Parallels or Virtual Box for any virtual machines you might need(I prefer Parallels). There are Educational versions of Windows amongst other Microsoft products available to you through NJIT. Source: 9 months ago
  • Will anyone continue on debian 11?
I thought Debian doesn't have VB packages? Or are you the talking about the ones from http://virtualbox.org web site? Source: 10 months ago
  • Release Version 7.0.8 r156879 (Qt5.15.2) Does not work on Mac OSX 10.15.7 (19H1922)
I seem to recall that the newest version of VirtualBox is not compatible with some of the older MacOS X versions. You will need to see the manual on virtualbox.org for more information. Source: 11 months ago
  • VirtualBox & LibreWolf on Bookworm
I'm on testing/unstable since ever, so I have some packages still on my system that are no more in the testing repository but I can't remove them as the dependencies would remove virtualbox-7.0 from virtualbox.org then. These are as far as I can see: libssl1.1 and libvpx6 - and you can d/l them here: https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/libssl1.1 https://packages.debian.org/bullseye/libvpx6 and install them (as... • This is my Latitude E6530, it has been through so much, yet it still (mostly) lives on. I’ll include a backstory about it in the comments.
There are plenty of x86 or x64 OSes you can install. Any of the GNU/Linux systems. Any of the BSD-based Unix systems. And there are lots of experimental / quirky / not-so-useful OSes. Some OSes you might have better luck with if you install them inside a virtual machine. virtualbox.org offers a free VM host software. Source: about 1 year ago
  • is possible to do a dual bot with Windows and Linux without "no one knowing"?
Take a look at AWS, I think they have a free option. I had a Windows server set up on aws for a year or so and didn't have any charges for it. You can also download the Oracle VM and run linux on the windows desktop. https://virtualbox.org. Source: about 1 year ago
  • download old games
Depending on if you have an Intel Mac or an M1 Mac, you have some different options! If you have an M1 Mac, you could try using Wine/Wineskin Winery. You could also try something like UTM, but it's probably going to be very slow. If you find some of these games as old Mac games instead of old Windows games, you might also be able to get them running through SheepShaver or BasiliskII. If you're on an Intel Mac,... • Regretfully, I have run into too many problems with the latest upgrade of PopOS and am going to switch back to vanilla Ubuntu
Did they fix the Virtualbox issue? Even after two weeks I wasn't getting a new version so had to download the deb file from virtualbox.org. I've been having non-stop issues with updates lately though anyway. Source: over 1 year ago

  • No shit, Sherlock
If you have at least 16 Gb RAM (preferably more), you can experiment yourself with VMs. (You can experiment if you have less than 16 Gb, but you might find the experience frustrating.) The easiest virtual machine manager to use is probably VirtualBox. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Is there anywhere i could fix this?
Assuming you use Windows, the best and easiest way would probably be to use VirtualBox. It's really straightforward to use, but plenty of tutorials are available if you need help. Source: about 2 years ago

I can't be the only one who finds that virtualbox.org is inaccessible today. Does anyone know what is going on? Source: about 2 years ago
