My question is around tickets. We've found some options to purchase tickets on viagogo.com (I don't have much hope for the lottery coming through), and I want to make sure that we're being smart and safe where we sit. I think you hear things about it being a dangerous atmosphere for US supporters, but I don't know if that's just hype. Source: over 4 years ago

I'm from Costa Rica and being a fan since 1985 I have always wanted to go to a TFF concert. It says I can't buy them until the 19th of November but if I go to viagogo.com they are on sale from today, is it safe... Source: over 4 years ago
Viagogo is a notable entity within the online ticket resale market, offering tickets for a wide range of events, including concerts, sports, and theater. As an online platform within the event management and online ticketing sectors, Viagogo is frequently juxtaposed against competitors such as StubHub, Ticketmaster, and SeatGeek, among others. Despite being among the top ticket resale platforms, its public perception is notably mixed, characterized by both positive acknowledgments for its extensive inventory and significant criticism.
Viagogo's primary advantage lies in its vast inventory of tickets, even for events that are sold out through primary channels. This attribute positions it as a popular alternative for consumers seeking hard-to-find tickets, with several sources identifying it as one of the better sites for securing event entry when other avenues are exhausted. Its accessibility and ability to connect users with a wide array of events confer considerable utility to users seeking tickets last-minute or for otherwise unavailable shows.
Despite the benefits related to inventory breadth, Viagogo is often subject to criticism and skepticism. Users have expressed concerns regarding the legitimacy and pricing of tickets purchased through the platform. Several anecdotes exemplify buyers' apprehension, highlighting instances of overpayment and skepticism about ticket legitimacy at event venues. Some customers reported paying significantly above face value and questioned the guarantee of entry, a crucial factor as some venues decline to accept tickets resold through secondary markets.
Additionally, potential difficulties in securing refunds and the lack of customer service responsiveness compound consumer unease. Negative experiences with customer service and storylines of not being able to access refunds or rectify issues have been prevalent in discussions.
Trust emerges as a recurring theme within consumer narratives. Potential buyers often express confusion and indecisiveness about using Viagogo due to past transactions that have, at times, led to ticket authenticity issues. There are examples of consumers reluctantly resorting to Viagogo when other options seem out of reach, indicating a preference to avoid the platform if alternatives are available.
The public perception of Viagogo is nuanced, marked by convenience juxtaposed with caution. While it provides an extensive inventory for those desperately seeking event tickets, frequent qualms about overpricing, legitimacy issues, and inadequate customer support tangibly impact its reputation. For potential buyers, the decision to utilize Viagogo often hinges on balancing the availability of tickets against potential risks. Consequently, while Viagogo remains a player of significance in the ticket resale market, consumer trust and satisfaction appear to be areas requiring fortification.
