  I'm currently trying to find tutorials on how to find the right chords for certain songs and all I land on are a bunch of chord songwriting tutorials (which are quite useful, but aren't necessarily what I'm directly looking for).   I honestly have 0 idea what you're talking about. Guitar Pro is this: https://www.guitar-pro.com. You buy it, download it then you can go to a website like ultimate-guitar.com. And you can search up tabs for songs people have made (or make your own) download the tab file and guitar pro will load it. Form there you can have guitar pro play it back to you in midi form or just play specific sections at whatever speed... Source: over 2 years ago

  The resource I use most for playing guitar is ultimate-guitar.com... But I just open google, search up the song name, artist name and "chords" together and usually ultimate guitar is the first link. I think it is a decent resource because it shows you the chord shapes and the name of each chord shapes and places them, where'd you expect above the lyrics, not only is it easy to digest and get into...   I actually learned from a combo of tabs and ear. Tabs just greatly speed up the process and then I use ear to see what doesn't match.   If you are willing to invest in yourself a teacher would be quite useful. It is up to you to judge whether if it is worth it or not. Otherwise, start with some fundamentals lessons on the internet or elsewhere and also learn with tabs (e.g. ultimate-guitar.com [though it doesn't have a lot of bass tabs, the website has a good reputation as well as just youtube video bass tabs).
