  • Is there a place to suggest software you'd like to be on the AUR? If not, let it be here!

Few days later...i was able to log in at and continued until today, when my credentials were not "valid" anymore so tried at and same thing. Source: 8 months ago
  • So far 2023 has been great! 😍 Introduction of short domain (, unlimited aliases for custom domains, shared mailboxes, family plan. What was your favorite feature in 2023?
FWIW, I haven't changed my email to I kept (it sounds like "email me"). Source: 8 months ago

  • New e-mail account on hold for 5 days now (48 hours long expired)
My dad and my sister who both have an e-mail account at have advised me to have a try and see if I would like it too. • Proton Mail down. Again.
This is unacceptable, we should have a free month or more at the very least. I am honestly considering switching to Tutanota now. They have better encryption too for half the fee, haven't heard of any outages either. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Protonmail is down in EU region
If you pay allot for the service, you might want to consider the more transparent alternatives like Tutanota or SimpleLogin for reliability reasons. Also Lavabit is back as an option for those who need a provider that goes above and beyond to defend your data. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Domain statistics
Apart from taste, there are some obvious differences. A .com ending is the most standard and the best known. It's easy to spell and unlikely to be rejected by websites because of its ending. If you don't want people to know right from the start that you use Tutanota for privacy reasons, is the one to choose. If you want to signal that you are German, choose If you fear websites blacklisting... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Support needed. I created a new free Tutanota account and then some problems started
Next problem was when I wanted to use my address to add as my recovery email from a few protonmail accounts. Verification email went straight to spam and I couldn't find any "not Spam" button. Just moved them to inbox but second verification still went to spam folder. Source: about 1 year ago

  • So much promise, so little delivery.....
I use Tutanota (secure email based in Germany) with my family and find it pretty neat (was testing Fastmail before, but never really got hooked bc I prefer open source tools). The pricing is decent, it starts with 1 euro per family member/month - if you have more domains, it's 2. Source: over 1 year ago
