Most AI builders are cloud services that refine through chat: you describe, it regenerates, and you pay per attempt even when the change didn't land. In Loupe a false "done" can't happen, because edits are checked against what actually rendered, and the last 10% costs zero prompts since you do it by hand on the live page. It also runs locally on your own API keys or the AI subscriptions you already pay for, so a retry doesn't burn a second meter.
Loupe closes the loop in both directions on one live page: every AI edit is automatically verified against the real render (per edit, with retry), and when a prompt isn't worth it you grab the element and finish it yourself by hand: move, resize, edit. No other AI website builder has that pair.

Built by one developer, evenings only, with AI agents doing most of the typing. The trigger was a familiar frustration: AI coding tools say "fixed" while the page didn't actually change. Loupe was built around the opposite principle: verify every edit against the real render, and give the human a real editor for everything the AI shouldn't touch.
