It just doesn't work at all for me whether I use the crosshair thing or just manually enter the process name. No matter what program it is that I'm trying to configure the disable for. If you're on Windows, do have a look at TouchCursor and / or SpaceFN. They basically allow you to use the spacebar for anything you're doing with AltGr - so much more efficient. Source: over 2 years ago

Https://martin-stone.github.io/touchcursor/ is the only one that allowed me to use Space as a modifier (you are not asking that, but thought of mentioning it...). Works on Win10. Source: over 3 years ago

I use this tool for Windows: https://martin-stone.github.io/touchcursor/ which I use when I cannot use my external board. There is also AHK, https://www.autohotkey.com/download/, but I did not get far with it. For Macs there is Karabiner, and should be something similar for Linux. Source: over 4 years ago
I played with Auto Hotkey (AHK) recently as I wanted to add a layer to my keyboard. Wow, what powerful software! But I really disliked the scripting language and wished they'd used a standard language.
