Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Topicx.
  1. Why should a person choose Topicx over its competitors?

Choose Topicx if you follow a niche across many creators and want one structured overnight digest, not more tabs. RSS and YouTube subscriptions still leave you sorting noise; single-video AI tools summarize clips one at a time. Topicx groups channels by topic, lets you weight which voices lead the brief, and delivers a skim-first summary by email.

  2. What makes Topicx unique?

Topicx turns many YouTube channels into one nightly topic brief. Instead of a chronological feed or one-off video summaries, it synthesizes overnight uploads across a weighted channel mix so you can skim what moved, then watch only what matters.

  3. How would you describe the primary audience of Topicx?

Knowledge workers, investors, hobbyists, and creators who follow many YouTube channels in a niche (tech, crypto, gaming, etc.) and want to stay current without watching every upload.

  4. What's the story behind Topicx?

Topicx started from a simple problem: too many useful YouTube channels, not enough time. Subscription feeds bury signals in chronology, and checking channels by hand doesn’t scale. We built Topicx to group channels into topics and send one nightly brief per theme, so staying informed takes minutes, not hours.

  5. Which are the primary technologies used for building Topicx?

Web app built with Next.js and React, Go backend APIs, YouTube as the content source, and LLM-assisted summarization for the nightly briefs. Delivered as a SaaS product over the web and email.

  6. Who are some of the biggest customers of Topicx?

    • Early free-beta users following curated and custom topics
    • Individual readers using Topicx as a personal YouTube digest
