Social recommendations and mentions

We have tracked the following product recommendations or mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you see what people think about The Web and what they use it for.
  • Is there any good web accessibility course out there that teaches you how to implement accessible components such as navigation menus and stuff?
The W3C website is a great resource, the section on ARIA](https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/) and as others have pointed out the patterns section is great and includes examples. Source: about 1 year ago
  • im learning... html validator is seeing issues within like the first 2 lines. but i dont see anything that hasnt been perfectly validated before without issue... do you see a mistake?
I copied that directly into the validator at w3.org and it showed no errors. https://validator.w3.org/nu is what you're using, yes? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Site Issues From Site Checker
Time to start Googling! Those are all solvable things that you can fix. The last ones in black are strange though... I have no idea what the reference to w3.org is for. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What's causing script and stylesheet issues on my shop/product pages?
Google tells me some pages on my website have mobile usability errors - detailed results on GSC show 45 of 75 resources couldn't be loaded, many are apparently script and stylesheet issues to do with the theme and some plugins. The affected pages also load very slowly on GTMetrix. I turned on minify html, css and js on my caching plugin but it didn't seem to help. I did a Validate CSS check using a tool on w3.org... • WARNING! Do NOT go to bloodspells.com. It is loaded with malware, and if I was not heavily into computer security I would have been hacked. If you already visited the site, I STRONGLY recommend you do a security/anti-virus scan immediately.
Depending on what prompted this issue, there are a myriad of resolutions. If it's your SSL certificate then you simply need to get that registered and compliant. If it's because of bad coding then you can check out https://w3.org to test your code and fix it. Otherwise, you could always hire or consult a web developer. Source: over 1 year ago

    Req = requests.get('https://w3.org/'). - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • I am a beginner and have no idea why my script doesn't work
I do believe those are the only variable identifiers. I've checked w3.org and couldn't find any others. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Does anybody know of a dataset that contains all CSS rules?
You're parsing sites like MDN and W3schools, which are written for humans to learn, but they all rely on the same standard which is maintained by W3C, so if you need the most recent and accurate list of properties and their definitions, that's what you're looking for. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • We renamed Ebiten to Ebitengine
Thanks. I think a URL and its product name don't necessarily have to be the same (e.g. github.com/golang vs Go, w3.org vs W3C, and so on). I prioritized backward compatibility. I might change them in the future, but I'll do them gradually if I do. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Customizable Range Sliders (links in the comment section)
Same goes with that example of aria practices on w3.org. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • "Link doesn't look right" when using the "Link" button in the toolbar for a link that has the "#:~:text" highlighting hash from Chrome. The link is valid.
Here's the w3.org validator, which doesn't have a problem with it. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Example of trying to understand how to read RDF/Turtle
I also see from w3.org that you can have predicate lists, so is this an example of that? Source: over 2 years ago
  • Looking Back at 2021
I had been a member of the W3C and would just sit in meeting and not say an awful lot. Just a hello and introduction to who I was. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
