TakeoffQuote is construction takeoff and quoting software that runs entirely in the browser. It is built for estimators at general contractors and specialty subcontractors, and for independent estimating consultants who price commercial and residential bids.
Open a plan set, calibrate the scale (it auto-detects from the title block on most drawings), and measure areas, lengths, counts and surface areas directly on the PDF. Sheets and scales are detected automatically, and plans are processed locally in the browser and are never uploaded to a server, which matters when the drawings belong to a client.
Measuring is only the first half. The part most takeoff tools leave out is the last stretch: turning quantities into something you can actually send with the bid. Bind each condition to a trade assembly — concrete slab, strip footing, drilled pier, hold-down anchor — and the assembly does the conversion the estimator would otherwise do by hand, turning linear feet of footing into cubic yards of concrete. Set your own unit prices and waste percentages, watch the bid total build, and export a grouped .xlsx quote with a Quote tab and a Basis tab that shows how every number was derived, so the bid can be audited line by line.
It runs on macOS as a first-class platform, which is why it exists: Bluebeam discontinued its Mac version and left estimating teams on Mac without a real option.
Measuring, the full quote workflow, and CSV export are free with no limits. The priced .xlsx export is the paid feature at $15/month or $144/year. There is no trial to expire — the free tier is permanent.
